Steven Hellmann!
Congratulations to Steven who won 2 tickets to the Sampras vs. Raonic tennis match on November 17, 2011.
Check out the inspiring story that nabbed him the prize…
“My greatest tennis memory just happened this year. At the end of last season, I found an amazing tennis partner, Natalya. It was magic on the court. From the first time we played together, we immediately clicked and were a force on the courts. We were dubbed “team positive”, as, we always played with a big smile, loved the game, and, regardless of the strength of the team we were facing, ensured everyone left with a smile and good experience. We were supposed to play intercounty tennis together this year, when, tragically, Natalya had a fall last winter, skating in the Ukraine, and, extensively damaged her elbow (she only had 5% movement left). The Doctors told her she would never play tennis again. Through sheer self belief and love for the game, she made it a point to rehabilitate herself and prove the Doctors wrong. Fast forward 9 months, and, we just hit the courts again together this last September. While she is still in rehab and has to have additional surgery, she was able to play, and, funny enough, we were able to compete against some strong teams. The sheer power of will, and, passion for tennis, allowed her to overcome seemingly insurmountable odds and recover enough to be able to play the game she loves.”
But Wait!
