More Than Music | A Look Back @ #MJcirque

As many of you know, my entire life I’ve been addicted to the music and moves of Michael Jackson. Don’t believe me, check it out (PS – You’re not allowed to laugh… too much at least :P ):

Oh the memories… screaming girl fans and being showed up by some wicked poppers… oh the days… alright back to reality.

After a long year of waiting, yesterday the day arrived… the MJ Cirque du Soleil was in town and we had tickets!

Wow… it’s all I can really say about the show. The performance was stunning… and even that is an understatement. Flawlessly executed with integrity. From the early days right through every area MJ sang about, the show was non-stop creative and inspiring. It really captured how MJ was much more than music, he was a message. Every track he made had meaning, and he used every ounce of his passion to share it. There was one point where I was literally bawling… ok maybe that’s an exaggeration, but I was definitely crying.

Here is a man who cared so much about others, had his childhood robbed from him, and as admired as he was, was pinned as ‘crazy’. I feel he was judged instead of people really getting a chance to jump into his world. What he saw. This show did just that… it did MJ justice to all he was, all he is, and all he will always be.

To know that him and his family are one of my clients is inspiring, empowering, and compelling in so many ways. I look forward to helping brand MJ and his brothers for who they really were, and everything they stand for.

Rumor has it the show is coming back to the ACC next summer, so that is why I decided not to write too much about the experience. It’s one of those things where you need to be there to feel it.
