“WOW’ … that was my first reaction when Transformers: Dark of the Moon 3D ended. The action, plot, suspense, and did I mention action? Just incredible!
However, as I watched the movie more popped out at me then the movie itself. I was able to associate a deeper meaning (sort of like the Matrix), whether it was intended or not.
*Caution: This is a spoiler so please do not read if you have not seen the movie!*
Here it is:
The Autobots represent who we are as individuals and as a collective. Guess you could call it our good intentions; always out to protect each other. At birth we are all equal, all important, all confident. and all innocent… we are Autobots. As time progresses individually we begin to develop experiences of the past and images of the future. We begin to slowly chip away at our confidence, and face inner battles like the Decepticons waging war agains their own. Similarly, as a collective we thirst for money and power, waging war against our own species.
When we think we have our act together (the ups), all of a sudden we are betrayed. Usually by our own self (Sentinel Prime): our images of F.E.A.R. (False Evidence Appearing Real) and lack of self-belief. We settle for the easy way instead of fighting for what matters to us most. As a collective we betray each other, as the guy did in the movie.
Then we hit the downs. At this very moment we usually become extremely vulnerable, like when the Autobots were sent back to their planet and then bombed on the way. When all hope is lost, it is only then the opportunity to realize that hope never left at all seems to appear (Like when the Autobots weren’t on the ship when it exploded).
Sometimes (not all the time however) we are able to summon the courage within us (i.e. realize the Autobots) and are able to fight back no matter what the issue. In the movie it was fighting against becoming slaves of the Decepticons… just as individually we become slaves to ’society’ and collectively we destroy our planet.
When we do, we see that the future is not scripted and we are not just a ‘messenger’ of the past. We become alive and battle against (or for) what we want most in our lives.
In the end truth prevails, but the cycle continues.
Now imagine if we realized the Autobots with us as a collective… just imagine.

Imagine you could change the world with 2 words. Well you can, and it's simply your name. Your name not only defines you, but it represents YOUR thoughts and interests... thoughts that lead to actions, and interests that drive passion... it's these very elements that shape the world we see today. We are all part of this; each and every one of us in our own unique way. What you are about to read is a collection of my thoughts and interests... my attempts to change the world...
