It’s official… on August 31, I will be heading back to Bongo where I will continue my efforts in breaking borders and building opportunities!
Unfortunately, due to the circumstances of the situation, in order to return to Ghana I was told that I’d have to fund my own flight back. After living off a modest stipend of $12/day for the past 8 months, this has certainly created a bit of a challenge. Now in order to stick to my firm belief in “Think Opportunity, Not Charity,” I have decided to unveil an ambitious idea…
Invest In OpporTOONIEty… Let It Begin!

The Invest In OpporTOONIEty idea is an opportunity for you to, well.. Invest in Opportunities!
For every Toonie ($2) that is invested, $1 will be towards one of the many current initiatives aimed at giving people opportunities in Ghana, such as, the Farmer Group Business Development Fund or Proving Potential Investment Fund; the other dollar will be used towards my flight ticket, giving me the opportunity to successfully complete my placement overseas.
Although for legal purposes your contribution will technically be a donation, I instead like to view it more as an investment in a potential future… a future that is filled with new ideas, long held values, leaders, entrepreneurs, change, hope, and most importantly… a future filled with opportunities for all!
The aim of this idea is to get at least 1000 people to invest in this future (told you it was ambitious!)… to not only prove that we believe in it, but also provide the opportunities to start creating it!
