Kosi Of Course!

What’s best thing to have after a long, hard day at work… well KOSI of course! I realized I haven’t talked too much about the food front here in Ghana; but after eating pretty much the same breakfast, lunch, and dinner for almost six months now, you can tell why I’m not too excited to talk about it.

There’s an exception though. It’s my ultimate favourite snack called KOSI!! The party in your mouth taste is only imaginable unless you’ve had it; but the feel good frenzy of the kosi making process is definitely picture perfect!

My taste buds start to rush…                    GET IN MY BELLY!                     There we go!

There’s one important thing to note about kosi… you better get them fast and on-time! It seems the irresistible taste of this bean by-product is not just held by me; so if you venture out in search for kosi after 6pm… you’d be better off making your own. There are only a few kosi cookers in town in the early evenings, but even fewer ones that make the soft succulent deep-fried delicious (with a hint of peppe sprinkled on top) ones I like. You really know you’re a kosi addict when everyone around the kosi cooker knows your name and expects you there at the same time everyday; let’s just say I meet their expectations!
